Grenouille countinued his journey and finally finished, at "Porte des Feneants", where he would learn more about perfume. In this town, he found out that there was another girl who smelled similar with the first girl he killed. He loved this scent, and wanted to have it. However, he didn't do that yet because he needed to learn how to take the odor away from things, also this girl was still a child. Grenouille could feel that even though he didn't see her, he just smelled the scent and saw that she had same the beauty with the first girl, like the red hair, the green eyes and even more brilliant. He said to himself that he would take this scent after two more years.

Grenouille got a job at the "perfumer's workshop" of Madame Arnulfi. He worked with his colleague- Druot, the person who had special relationship with his boss- Madame Arnulfi. Grenouille and Druot had a lot of works to do. But mostly Grenouille did because Druot usually went out and didn't do many things. That was a good chance for Grenouille to study all by himself and improved his skills day by day. At last, he found out "grease", he winded animal which were just dead into "greasy bandages" and successed to take away their smell.
After two years, this town had a terrible occurence: The beautiful virgins were killed without any signal of violation, and no clothes or hair left. A farmer found the first victim on a field of rose, he confessed to the police that "He had never seen anything so beautiful", while what he had to say was "He had never seen anything so awful". Everyone who had young daughter in that town were afraid, they doubted many kinds of people but still didn't find out the perpetrator until the twenty-fouth victim was dead. The police caught and, tortured this "murderer" for hours, he had to confess he killed those girls even thought he didn't really do that, then he was killed. After that, everyone was happy again. The real murderer, however, was still alive, he was Grenouille. He took the scents of those girls by winding the "greasy bandages" on their bodies, and would mix them up as a formula of a perfume, he just had to take the last scent which he loved the most.
Antoine Richis, the father of the girl whom Grenouille prepaired to kill didn't believe that the murderer was dead. With the love for his beautiful daughter, he could feel that something bad would happend to her sooner or later. He took her far away from the town and had a rest at a house that he hired. But then, just one night, his daughter was dead, like the other twenty-four girls by the hand of Grenouille. Richis was shock, he lost what he loved most in the world. Grenouille was caught soon when the clothes and the hair of girls were found at where he stayed. The sentence for him was published: He would be bound and beaten to death by excutioner's stick. The people in the town came to the excution ground in that day, waited for what they wanted to see. However, when Grenouille was arrived, he wasn't bound or led by the police. He was wearing good clothes and went up to the excution ground like a normal man. And what everybody thought was: This man was innocent.

I feft amazed with this part, the odors from animal and humans, but I hope nobody will try to do this. Part 3 helped me knew more about the history of perfume, how to create it from the beginning, and a little about bussiness, too, I guess this is my favorite part although the deaths of the girls are so terrible. I have to say that the author of this novel has a good imagination and rich knowledge of perfume.
