The Indian in the Cupboard by Lynne Reid Banks. Pages 50 - 103

Omri bought an Indian Chief at his lunch time at school. When he got back home, he put the chief on the cupboard. The chief was too old, he was died. The Indian was very happy because he can be the new chief. Some minutes later, Omri's dad called him angrily because Omri did something bad to his greenhouse. When Omri went to buy seeds for his dad, he met Patrick. Finally, he told about the Indian to Patrick. Patrick went to Omri's house and wanted to make real a cowboy. Omri didn't let him to do that, but when Omri went out from his room; Patrick used the cupboard without Omri's agreement. Patrick threatened Omri if he didn't want to give the cowboy to him, Patrick will tell his secret to everyone. At night, Omri put the cowboy and his horse in his sock drawer. He already fell asleep when he heard a dawn of shots. He found that the cowboy and the Indian were not there. The Indian tried to kill the cowboy. Omri talked to the Indian to be calm, because tomorrow the cowboy wouldn't be at their house and he promised the Indian to get a wife for him. Next morning, Omri woke up so early and made breakfast for the Indian and the cowboy. They ate together in one spoon. After that, Omri prepared to go to school.

It's getting more and more interesting. What will Patrick do with his cowboy? Can Omri still keep his secret to all his family and friends?? What will happen if there are more people know about his secret?? I think I really enjoy read every book I chose. It's really good for me.. From this book I can learn a lot of vocabulary that I don't need to learn from textbook. (*8*)

We also have to wonder about the morality of it all. These children are creating life; they have a responsibility to them, just like they would to a child. Where will these little people live? Can they have a society, friends, and families?
