HIGH HEAT by Carl Deuker pages 105-130

Shane didn't hang out with his teammates. Grandison asked him to try to talk with them, but Shane didn't say anything. Shane was reading Seattle Times and found that Reese, who live in Shane's old house, is in Shorelake's team and they play very well. Grandison told the team that they will have a game on Friday, but he didn't say who will be against. At night, Shane went to library and check on the Internet to find out that team is shorelake's team. He wanted to hit them. On Friday, they went to Woodland Park to play.At first, Lind, who is in Shane's team, got hurt but he still want to play, but they were losing. Finally, Shane pitched and threw "High heat". Unfortunately, the ball hit Reese's head and he fell down. Two medic came in and send him to Children's hospital. At that night, he called to hospital and went to there to see Reese. Shane didn't talk with Reese because he felt afraid. Then he went back to home, his mon asked him about the accident, but he didn't tell his mon that the guy was Reese.


Opinion: First, I would like to tell you that I borrowed High Heat from public library before, this week I found this book from our school library. The content is same, but the pages are different.
After I read these pages, I felt very upset. At the begining, Shane could live a normal life, he played baseball again , but in this game, he hurted Reese. Now, he feels worry and sorry, he feels sad again. Why Shane is such a poor guy that he always in some difficult situations. Also, no one can help him. First, Grandison wanted to help him, but I think now Grandison didn't trust Shane anymore. Actually, Shane didn't mean to hit Reese, also he felt sorry about that, I hope he can solve this problem.
