Chapter 8: This Really Happened

In the summer before Luke Tull turned 14 years old, Cody had a serious accident at the factory. He had to go to hospital on 3 weeks. After that he came home by ambulance. His right arm and left leg were in casts, so he had to lie in bed. During that time, Ruth and Cody had an argument about their past, concerned to Ezra, Cody's brother. When Cody saw his son, Luke had some behavior like Ezra, he thought Luke can Ezra's son. But Ruth sweared that she didn't do that. Luke listened his parent's argument. He thought he want to have the father like Ezra. One day, Luke went to his grandma's house by his self. He didn't see his uncle, Ezra for many years. When he came to the Homesick restaurant, Ezra couldn't recognize him. after that Ezra call to Cody that Luke was staying in Baltimore and Cody said he will come there tomorrow. So one more time, Cody came to his mom's house and don't want to stay there during the night. They came back Virginia, their house immediately.


Opinion: Cody always doubt some body else, especially his brother and his wife. Luke is Cody's son or not? But I don't think Luke is Ezra's son. From the beginning to now, I always think Ezra is a good guide. Cody is afraid of the relationship between his wife, his son and his brother. He think Ezra will steal his family. Even though he can't walk, he still look like doubt man. Cody's mom always think about him, she call him and ask his health every day. But he didn't want to answer her phone. Anyway, I hate Cody, I really don't like him.
