chapter1-3 page1-24
One day, a girl whose name was Fern prevented her father from killing a pig which was very small and weak, and was just born. She named the pig Wilbur and she had taken care of the pig until the pig was five weeks old, but Wilbur was sold to her uncle by her father. After Wilbur sold, he lived in the barn which belonged to her uncle. She visited the barn as often as she could to watch him from the sheepfold which is next to the pig's pen. When Wilbur was almost teo months old, he escaped from his pen guided by a goose, but he was brought to his pan again by Mr.Zukerman who was Fern's uncle.
Actually, I didn't like this kind of story. It's for kids, especially girls, I think.
To my surprise, I could happily read this book, however.

This is a funny story , i think . Because it`s like a kind of story of children ...
There are great children's books, and awful children's books. Many of the great ones can be enjoyed by people of any age. I wonder, though, what changed your mind about this book, as you read it.
