Roald Dahl loved to tell stories ahout good children in terrible situations. Maybe they have bad families, or they are in danger, or they are very poor (like Charlie). Despite these problems, the children always win in the end. (I think J.K Rowling, the author of "Harry Potter," may have got some ideas from Dahl's books.)
Your summary is much too long and detailed!
