Omri brought the Indian and cowboy to school. They were in the main hall listening to the headmaster and suddenly Omri yelped because the Indian jabbed him. At lunch time, Omri gave the Indian and cowboy to Patrick. He sat in the middle of the hall, but it was hard to feed the Indian and cowboy with many students around him. Patrick came late to class because he went to music room and fed the Indian and cowboy there. The teacher heard they were chattering and asked them to see the headmaster. Patrick was so afraid that the headmaster would call her parents, so he showed the headmaster the Indian and cowboy. Omri was so mad and didn’t let Patrick to have the cowboy. After school, Omri bought an Indian woman. When he got home, he found his cupboard at his brother’s room, but without the key. They were watching TV and the Indian shot the cowboy. Finally, they found the key under the carpet at Omri’s room. They put the soldier into cupboard and made him alive to help the cowboy. After the cowboy was getting better, they held the brotherhood ceremony for the Indian and cowboy. Omri realized that’s impossible to feed, protect, and keep secret about them and decided to send them back. Omri and Patrick were very sad when they put them all into the cupboard, but it was the best for them. Omri gave the key back to his mum and left the cupboard empty.
I finished reading this novel. It was so hard to understand what the cowboy was saying because the author wrote those words with a cowboy’s accent, but so far I could understand the story. I enjoyed reading this book.. So many fun and also, there are some problems. How Patrick was very stubborn and never heard what Omri said. Because of that, Patrick always made mistakes. However, he became a nice boy at last. The story was really touching. Even though the Indian and the cowboy were only made from plastic, Omri thought they were real people and was so nice to them. It was so sad that they couldn’t meet the Indian and the cowboy again when they were already became good friends. From this book, I can learn if every people are the same, so we can’t discriminate and use other people even they are small.

Yes, that's a good lesson to learn from the book. Maybe another lesson is "If you love someone, set them free." Also, I think the books talks about the power of imagination, and the power of children to create worlds and people. If that is what the book is about, the ending is sad -- the child stops imagining.
