Summary,
Marsha was a senior in high school. She was applying to college so she needed to do a lot of tests and essay. However, most of the college also had a similar essay topic, “what makes you different from the other thousands of high school seniors who are seeking admission to our school?” She didn’t know the answer in that moment. In her school, only ten senior girls could be cheerleader in whole year. She also applied to be a cheerleader. On the other hand, her sister, Molly, started high school that year. Marsha told everything about school’s teachers and class to Molly. For Marsha, she thought that she only needed to pick her sister to school and back home, nothing else. She realized that she didn’t care Molly after Molly started high school two weeks later. Couple weeks later, the list of the ten girls who could be a cheerleader was posted on Friday at the end of the day. Marsha was so nervous so she could not sleep well last night. Friday morning, Marsha also picked Molly to school and Molly gave a note to Marsha. However, she only could read that note in the last hour. After she read it, she didn’t care about the cheerleader because she knew that her sister was more important than cheerleader.
Dear Sis,
No matter what happens today, whether you make the team or not, I think you are the best sister in the world. I was scared to start high school – you know how lowly freshmen are treated. But having a sister who’s a senior makes me special. All of my friends are jealous. I just wanted to tell you.
Love,
Molly
Comment,
Actually, I had a hard time to read this story because the writer used a lot of different words on her story. I needed to read the story twice. Not only this story is hard for me but also this whole section is too hard for me. This section is talking about the family but I am not in that situation. I can not understand that. I am a teenage, not a father. I don’t have any son or daughter even I haven’t thought about my family yet. However, this is a good story because Marsha finally understood what the most important thing for her.
