This book tells about witches. It doesnt tell about the witches in fairy tale. It tells about real witches! In the beginning of the chapter it tells us about how bad witches are. A witch is a woman who lives in an ordinary house and works an ordinary job, so we can't tell if it is a witch or a nice lady. A witch only hates one thing that is children. Because they are nice they trick the children and use their magic to do something bad to them.
The Narrator is eight years old and lives in England. The Narrator and his parents are from Norwegian so every year they go to Norway and visit his grandmother. After the Narrator's seventh birthday, they went to Norway to spend Christmas. When they were driving in an icy weather they had a car accident. His parents got killed by the accident and the Narrator only got a cut. The Narrator and his grandmother were very sad. Now the Narrator lives with his grandmother. The Narrator's grandmother wanted to cheer up the Narrator so she tells stories to him. The Narrator isn't that much interested in her stories but when she tell stories about witches the Narrator gets excited. First the Narrator didn't believe in witch stories but his grandmother is an expert on witches so she tells him that every witch story you hear is true. That night she told about the children who got caught by the witches. She told him that they were turned into a stone, a large chicken, and a porpoise. Another child vanished into a picture. The Narrator got afraid but his grandmother told him if you are at home you will be safe. The next evening his grandmother told him how to recognize a witch. A witch has long finger nails, strange eyes, big nose-holes, no hair, no toes, and their spit is blue. She said that if you see a woman who is nice to you that is wearing gloves, has big nose-holes, has queer eyes, hair that looks like a wig, and if you see blueish things in her teeth you must run like the wind. The next day a man came and talked to his grandmother. The man was reading the Narrator's father's will to her. His father's will said that he wanted the Narrator to continue going to his English schools. So they headed to England. On the evening before they left for England his grandmother told him a story about English witches. She said that they are the most wicked witches in the world. While she was talking about English witches she also mentioned the Grand High Witch. Once a year the Grand High Witch and other witches from all the countries helds a secret meeting somewhere. After they went to England to the Narrator's house everything seemed to be normal but this time his grandmother looked after him. At the Narrator's garden there was a big tree, so he wanted to build a tree house with his friend Timmy. One afternoon Timmy was sick, so the Narrator was building the tree house alone. At that time a lady came up to him and said "I have a persent for you". The Narrator realized that the lady was a witch. The Narrator climbed to the top and didn't move until the lady went away. He was still in the tree until dark and then his grandmother came. He told everything to his grandmother and she said she would never let the Narrator go to school alone.
I think this book is good because it gives us a lot of ideas to never trust a person that you don't know who is really nice to you. I hope I never meet a strange person who is really nice. This book is fun to read also because I think it is an easy book and you can tell what happens next. Likewise, other books that are really hard I can't understand it.

I like this book, too. It's also a fun movie; maybe you can find it at the public library, or ask the librarians to order it for you, if you're interested.
The book teaches us not to trust strangers. But, more importantly, it's fun! Dahl wrote stories, not advice, and that's why he is so popular.
You are working much, much too hard -- your summary was very long! Just write a short paragraph; that will be enough.
how short????:)
