First, this book's writer is Hemingway. The old man and sea is one of his most famous works.


This book is talking about an old man who fished alone in a skiff in Gulf Stream. He was fished with a little boy. After forty days without a fish the boy's parents had told that the old man was definitely and finally salao, He was unlucky. His health is not good, looks tired and thin. After that kid made some money, he come back to the old man, the old man had taught the boy to fish and the boy likes him a lot.

They talked about past, sat on the terrace and many fishermen made fun of the old man and he was not angry. They drank the beer. The old man was holding his glass and thinking of many years ago. They remember everything from when they first went together.

Then they talked about future, they had planed to fishing together. They picked up the gear from the boat. The old man carried the mast on his shoulder. After that they walked up the road together to the old man’s shack and went in through its open door. Then they talked about baseball game. They think Yankees cant lose.


Opinion:

Both the old man and boy love to fishing. The little boy loves the old man. The man was thin and gaunt. Everything about him was old, but his eyes’ color always can tell cheerful and undefeated. He was a happy guy. All of they talking about are fishing and Baseball game. I am starting to love this old man.
