The Lennon Companion, written by David Gutman and Elizabeth Thomson, shows reveal of Lennon's life and his great songs. Especially they show his songs represent his mind, thinking, and creativity.
First of all, it introduces hisself and his family when he was child. As he was child the big event was his mother's dead. He was hurt by its event. He tried to write songs from his events, and inspiration. Then he saw Ono Yoko. He had always needed a partner or supporter. It made his imagination stronger.
furthermore it shows his albums after he left the Beatles. Authers admire his voice that is one of the great rock and roll voice. They also praise his album that was the best album in after he left the Beatles. The name of album is Plastic Ono Band. It was deep for people. but we can see his world clearly.
Opinion
My favorite singer is, of course, John Lennon. It shows me his childhood, and thinking. It's not only interesting for fan, but also for common people. I can see his revelations related in his songs, and his family. I will keep reading it!

I was just listening to "Mind Games" last night. I love the Beatles, and especially John, too. I think his three best solo albums are Imagine, the Plastic Ono Band, Double Fantasy, and Mind Games.
