Shane has a baseball game today, but his father has a meeting too. He can't watch the game. During the baseball game, Shane did a good job. After that, Coach gave him a ride. Shane felt very happy that he won a big league baseball game. He thought when he back to home, his dad will ask him how he'd done. Then his father will say"I won't miss your next game."But actually Shane doesn't want him to come to watch his game anymore.It was because he'd missed the game that Shane had pitched well. When they arrived home, they found that Shane's dad was died. He shot himself. Mon ,Marian and Shane left home. They live in a hotel on that night.
After the funeral held on saturday.They moved back to their house and Shane go to school again. However, he quit the team.Finally, he and his sister back to home and found that their mother sold the house.

When I was reading pages40-42, I felt very boring. these pages are about the baseball game. Maybe I am not interested in baseball, also there are many vocabulary about baseball game that I don't know. Besides that, after Shane's dad was died, that part is very exciting. I couldn't stop to read. Especially, the author wrote about how was Shane felt. I think it is very vivid. I can feel that he was very sad and miss his father.
Actually, I don't agree Shane's father had to suicide to solve the problem. I think if he really did some wrong things, he should accept and face on the fact.
