"HIGH HEAT" by Carl Deuker. Pages 3-33

Shane is a baseball closer and he is very good at baseball. He has two best friends, Greg Taylor and Cody Miller. They were going to play a baseball game, they saw two men in the parking lot. Shane knew one of them is called Rausch because he had been his house a couple of times to talk his father. Actually, they are police. After the game had started, that two policeman came in and caught Shane' s father.
When he came home, he found that there were many policemen in his house to search his house.Tomorrow he heard that his mother was talking with the lawyer on phone. After that. he asked his mother that what did the police charge dad with. It was because his father sold cars to the drug dealers, then put the cash in the bank, turned around to bought the cars back at a lower price a couple of months later, and paying with a check. Now they charge him "money laundering". Then they got him out of jail. On monday, Shane heard two students were laughing, he thought was about his father, so he hits that two boys.
He had a game on thursday, his father also came and seen Shane. But he did a bad job because he was thinking about his father.

I think this book is good because I can understand many word in this book. Although the story is good, I don't like some part of these pages, such as baseball games. I think the author had used to much words to write the baseball games.
On the other hand, I suggest Shane to be calm down, because if he could not control his emotion,he will do many wrong things.Such as he had already hit someone and affect the result in baseball game. It is very important for him to control himself.
As a result, I think this book is very good to read but the baseball games.

I hope you are still enjoying the book! It sounds like there will be a lot more baseball games in the book. I hope you either start to enjoy them or there aren't too many!
