Daragonwings p1-p10

The novel of Dragonwins, by Laurence Yep, tells a family story in China of the period of Dang dynasty. A boy named Moon Shadow 8 year old lived with his mother and grandma without his father in the Middle Kingdom, or China, as the white demons call it. Moon always wanted know about his father because he had never seen after his father left his home and traveled over the sea to work in the demon land. there was plenty of money to be made among the demons, but it was also dangerous. His own grandpa had been lynched about thirty years before by a mob of white demons almost the moment he had set foot on their shores. However, his mother had never wanted to talk about it to his son. His mother usually said she was too busy to answer his questions. Her mother was overworked, for grandma was too old to help her with the heavy work, and his mother had to try to do both her own work and Father's on our small farm. Moon knew her mother was afraid of the place, because every chance they got, her mother would take him into the small temple in our village and they would pray for his father's safety. Moon was curious about the Land of the Golden Mountain mainly because his father was there.

opinion: Since I changed my novel, it became easy for reading. I'm trying to continue reading with imagination about what happen or will happen. This tale tells about a boy, his mother, his father, and his granmma, the period of Tang dynasty. The boy, Moon Shadow, always wanted to know about his father but his mother had never let him know about his father..........
